Which tape should I choose?

Can I use water-activated tape on HEROPACK mailers?
No. Water-activated tape only sticks to paper-based packaging. For HEROPACKs, use Composticky Tape.
What is water-activated tape made from?
A paper backing (100% FSC certified recycled wood pulp) and a plant-derived hot-melt corn starch adhesive. White and Express tapes use water-based inks. It’s recyclable and compostable.
Is water-activated tape strong?
Yes. A cross-pattern of fibres makes it stronger than regular plastic tape.
Is Composticky Tape compostable?
It’s certified OK compost INDUSTRIAL (TÜV), EN 13432 and ASTM D6400 for commercial composting. It’s vegan, made from PLA and natural rubber adhesive.
Does Composticky Tape fit a tape gun?
Yes, it fits standard tape guns. It’s also hand-tearable, and sold as single rolls or packs of 6 and 36.
What does the HERODISPENSER do?
The HERODISPENSER holds and wets water-activated tape so it’s easy to pull, tear and stick. Fill the water tank, load the tape and start packing. The large tank means less refilling.
Which tape fits the HERODISPENSER?
Tape 30–80mm wide with a roll diameter up to 170mm. Tape is sold separately.
What size is the dispenser?
320 x 103 x 133mm, in pink or blue with a white Hero logo.
