Need your products to be protected during the shipping process, but still want that compostable goodness? Then you're in the right place!
Our white HEROBUBBLEs are our padded mailers that replace plastic bubble mailers. They have an inner compostable layer of padding and an outer paper-based compostable layer.
These mailers are thick and will ensure that your products are nice and snug during shipping!

These padded mailers can be custom printed in full colour (logos or photos) with a minimum order quantity of just 25 mailers. Simply select "YES - ADD MY LOGO" and upload your artwork. We'll send through a print proof for your approval and then print your full order. Printing times depend on the quantity ordered.

SIZING NOTE: These are external dimensions. The internal width will be approximately 20mm less than the external dimensions. Please keep this in mind when purchasing to ensure your products fit.
Our compostable bubble mailers are the ideal solution for shipping more fragile items. With thick outer paper and soft padding, it will ensure the safety of any item inside.
The padding is made from 70%-80% PBAT – a biodegradable co-polymer, and 20%-30% PLA – biodegradable refined cornstarch.
Before composting our White HEROBUBBLE padded mailer, remove any labels and tear the layers apart. The outer layer is FSC recycled paper, while the internal material is certified compostable. Remember, this mailer is not for your recycling bin.
In commercial settings, our bubble mailers will break down within 120 days, while they take up to 150 days in home settings if disposed of correctly. Instructions are also printed on the back of the mailers.

Disclaimer (please read before purchasing): If you are sending fragile items, you must use an extra layer of protection before packing in the padded mailer. We recommend our Hex Wrap for this. Alternatively, for very fragile items, we recommend purchasing boxes instead.
Please note: The sizing mentioned are external dimensions. The internal width will be approximately 10mm less than the external dimensions. For example, for our Small HEROBUBBLE mailer which is 190mm in width, the internal width is 180mm. Please keep this in mind when purchasing to ensure your products fit.
Product shelf life: as our compostable mailers are made using renewable ingredients, they have a shelf life of approximately 9-12 months when kept in cool and dry conditions, out of direct sunlight. This should be considered when ordering mailers in bulk. We recommend ordering for a 3-6 month period of shipments.
Please note for custom orders: we can print in full colour (multiple colours in your artwork) but cannot print in white.
Our printing process works best with logos, text, and smaller design elements. Large areas of solid colour may not print evenly and can show subtle lines or banding.
There may be slight variations on the printing including sizing and colours. Any white backgrounds in your artwork will not print. If your actual logo/text artwork is submitted in white, it will be converted to black for printing. If you have any issues uploading your artwork, you can place your order as usual including custom printing, leave a note on your order, and email the artwork to us separately at hello@heropackaging.com.au. HEROBUBBLE Padded Mailer FAQs
What is a HEROBUBBLE mailer?
HEROBUBBLE is our compostable alternative to plastic bubble mailers. It has an outer layer of FSC recycled paper and an inner layer of compostable bubble padding, so products stay snug and protected in transit.
What is the padding made from?
The padding is 70–80% PBAT, a compostable co-polymer, and 20–30% PLA, made from refined cornstarch. The outer layer is FSC recycled paper.
Are HEROBUBBLEs certified compostable?
Yes. HEROBUBBLE mailers are TÜV certified for commercial composting. They break down in a commercial composting facility, not a home compost bin.
How long do they take to break down?
Within 120 days in a commercial composting facility.
How should my customers dispose of them?
Remove any labels, then tear the paper outer away from the padded inner. The padding goes to a commercial composting facility (check your council’s organics options); the paper layer can be recycled. Don’t put the whole mailer in the recycling bin. Disposal instructions are printed on the back of every mailer.

Large is our biggest padded mailer.
Will my product fit?
Sizes are external dimensions. Allow about 10mm less on the internal width — for example, a Small HEROBUBBLE (190mm wide) is about 180mm wide inside.
Are HEROBUBBLEs suitable for fragile items?
They give more protection than a non-padded mailer, but fragile items still need an extra protective layer inside, such as HERO Hex Wrap. For very fragile items, use a box instead.
Can I get HEROBUBBLEs printed with my logo?
Yes, white and pink HEROBUBBLEs can be custom printed in full colour (logos or photos) from just 25 mailers. Select “YES – ADD MY LOGO” and upload your artwork. Black HEROBUBBLEs are sold plain.
How does custom printing work and how long does it take?
- Place your order and upload your artwork (optional: use our logo placement template).
- We email a PDF proof within 2–3 business days.
- If you ordered a printed sample, it’s dispatched 2–3 business days after you approve the proof.
- We print your full order after approval: 25–100 units in 3–4 business days, 250–500 in 5–6, and 1,000+ in 7–10.

Can my customers reuse the mailer?
Yes. HEROBUBBLEs have a double adhesive strip, so they can be resealed for returns.
Can I write on it or use my own shipping labels?
Yes, you can write directly on the paper outer or apply any shipping label. Our paper HEROTAPE EXPRESS also works on HEROBUBBLEs. A small HEROBUBBLE logo sits on the front; cover it with your label if you prefer.
Do HEROBUBBLEs have a shelf life?
Yes, about 12–18 months when stored cool and dry, out of direct sunlight.
Can I get a sample?
Yes. The Padded Mailers option in our Sample Packs includes one HEROBUBBLE in each colour (white, pink and black). Single sample units are also available on white and pink.
Do you make custom padded mailers in bigger quantities?

Shipping, returns and where they’re made
In-stock orders placed before 12pm AEST/AEDT on a business day ship the same day. Unprinted mailers can be returned for store credit within 14 days of purchase (fees apply); custom printed orders can’t be returned once printed. HEROBUBBLEs are produced in China. General Shipping Information
Same-day dispatch for orders placed before 12pm AEST/AEDT on business days. All other orders ship the next business day. Holiday trading hours may differ — check our website for the latest.
Australia Post is currently delivering as normal. Choose Express Post at checkout if you need products quickly. Sydney customers also have same-day delivery options at checkout.
Some delivery delays may apply. Please allow extra time and check your tracking link before contacting us. Keep buffer stock on hand to avoid running out.
In-Stock (Ready to Ship) Orders
Orders placed before 12pm AEDT on a business day are dispatched same day. You'll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking details as soon as your order leaves our warehouse.
Our order system is highly automated — we cannot amend or change orders once placed under any circumstances. If you need to return mailers, please see our returns information below.
Unforeseen events such as natural disasters may impact dispatch times. Check our website for the most up-to-date information.

All custom orders begin with a PDF proof — allow 2–3 business days. Printing only starts after you approve the proof. All timings below are from proof approval.

Australian Orders
Allow 2–8 business days after your order has been dispatched.

International Orders
Allow 5–20 days depending on your country. Estimated times display in checkout once your address is entered.
Allow 3–7 days to New Zealand, Canada, USA, UK, and other supported countries.
Orders shipped outside Australia are classified as imports in the destination country. You are responsible for paying any applicable import duties and taxes to clear customs.
The shipping carrier will contact you using your order details. If duties are not paid, the shipment will be diverted to commercial composting and cannot be returned. No refunds apply in these cases.
Returns Information
If you've purchased the wrong size or no longer need your mailers, you may be able to return them for store credit within 14 days of purchase. No change-of-mind returns are accepted after this period due to the shelf life of our mailers.

Sometimes things don't go to plan — and we'll always make it right. Resolutions can include product replacements, store credits, or refunds.
If you have a product issue, please contact us for instructions. We'll generally ask for photos or a short video of the issue to provide the fastest possible resolution.
Pre-Order Information
When a product is out of stock it may move to a pre-order listing. This will be clearly noted on the product page and in your order confirmation.
If you order a pre-order item alongside in-stock items, your entire order is held until pre-order stock is available. We cannot partially ship orders.
Tip: Place pre-order and in-stock items in separate orders to avoid delays.
